Division/Committee Meeting Requests
The National Multicultural Conference and Summit 2017 will be held January 4-6, 2017 at the Marriott Portland Downtown Waterfront. Committee meetings can occur following the conclusion of the Summit, the evening of Friday the 6th through Sunday the 8th. If your division/committee has committed to holding its meeting in conjunction with NMCS 2017, please complete the requested information below no later than August 15, 2016. By submitting this form, you are committing to holding your meeting in conjunction with the Summit. There is no room rental cost associated with meeting rooms, however, there are costs associated with audio-visual, food/beverage orders coordinated through the hotel. No outside food/beverage is allowed.
Priority for meeting room reservations is set as follows (Please make your request early as there is a limited number of meeting rooms available):
First priority: meeting room reservations from NMCS Host divisions
Second priority: NMCS sponsors donating at the $5000 level or above
Third priority: Divisions sponsoring the NMCS at the $2500-$4999 level
Fourth priority: Non-sponsoring Divisions/committees
Please submit this request form only after your division/committee has committed to holding its meeting in conjunction with the Summit. Deadline for receipt is August 15.
In early Fall, requests will be fulfilled and rooms assigned. Once rooms are assigned, the contact listed below will be contacted with additional information regarding that room assignment, menus, and audiovisual needs. Your division will be put into contact with a hotel representative so you can finalize your meeting details. Your division/committee is responsible for reserving sleeping rooms for your participants (contact hotel directly), and for all food, beverage and A/V charges incurred by your meeting. You will set up direct billing with the hotel once your room is assigned.
