As such, all community members, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, service providers, and NMCS team members agree to observe the following  community agreements.

  1. NMCS is committed to fostering a welcoming environment that is safe, collaborative, and productive for dialogue and learning for all participants. As such, the NMCS community will not tolerate discrimination or harrassment based on any intersections of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, indigenous heritage, national origin, race, spirituality, religion, sexual orientation, social class and socioeconomic status, and/or other social identities.

  2. NMCS community members agree to observe common sense rules for public behavior, netiquette, personal interaction, courtesy, and respect for the mission of NMCS

  3. NMCS community members agree to be considerate and respectful of differing perspectives during and after the Summit, honouring epistemic pluralism and the diversity of our communities.

  4. As community members,  we agree to consider the potential impact of our words on others, including community members from various intersections of identities as described above.

  5. NMCS community members will not engage in any form of harassment. Community members  who are asked by anyone to stop engaging in hostile or harassing behaviors are expected to comply immediately. Continued harassment or hostile behaviors will result in expulsion from the Summit.

  6. NMCS community members will not disrupt presentations during sessions, in the exhibitor booths, or at other events organized by NMCS throughout the meeting. Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. NMCS reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.

  7. To respect participant privacy, community members  agree not to copy or take screenshots of Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in the virtual space. Activities and discussions should promote the mission of NMCS and align with the objectives of the Summit.
